Evergreen Gala
This year's Evergreen Gala was held at Greenwich Country Club on
Saturday, November 12, 2011. Co-chairs of the event were Bonnie Tuite and Trish McMullin.














Development

Special Events & Giving are a vital part of the GCS community.  With the help of parent volunteers, Greenwich Catholic hosts a wide range of events throughout the year to help support the school's vibrant academic environment. Tuition and Fees cover about 70% of the Annual Operating Budget. Rental income, investment income, and Diocesan support help narrow the gap. Betsy Mercede is the Marketing Coordinator for the school.

Development is needed to cover the $1,200 per student gap. Greenwich Catholic School’s Development initiatives include the Evergreen Gala, Annual Giving, Golf Outing, Wine Tasting and other family activities. Sheelah Quinn is the Development Chair.

Fundraising allows the school to offer competitive salaries for teachers, stay up-to-date with Technology, offer language programs, fund scholarships, and maintain the school’s 38 acres.  Every donation, no matter the amount, is important. Percent participation is a very critical measurement and plays a role during the re-accreditation process and in obtaining grants.
